Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of Gods great love, we are not consumed. His compassion never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

People oh people of the world trade
Memories of you have started to fade
But once a year in the month of September
We all mourn in silence and remember together
Ash filled the streets like a layer of snow
As smoke billowed in morning's first cold
A terrorist's dream filled with hate
It shattered all hope, sealed your fate
Bodies pulled from rubble, not a live soul found
Sorrow seeps from Lady Liberty's crown
People oh people of the world trade
Memories of you never will fade

The author's comments:
So I wrote this the day before the ten year anniversary of 9/11 and when I had my friends vote, they said these were the best of my poems so I hope you enjoy. While I was personally not directly affected by this tragedy, I still take it very seriously and hope you do too.

"Books are a uniquely portable magic." - Stephen King

I love books, and I love technology, but I don't want to see the latter overwhelm the former. I just think books are meant to be pages you turn, not screens you scroll through.

Great job; this is a really good way to remember 9/11, and all the lives that were lost.

This is good, I think it expresses a sort of wistfulness and comfort. I like that.

Thanks, honestly when I wrote this I didn't think people would really like it (and I'm just happy to see someone finally commented on something of mine) I'd love it if you could read some of my other work too.

I'd have to agree with your friends; this is really, really well done. :) Nice job.
