For The First Time

For the first time in a long time
I felt myself let go
Washed away all the troubles
All the bumps in the road
For the people who
Put me down
I can say many things
But now I’m left with
All these feelings
Piled up inside
And here I am
A brand new me
Filled with pieces
Of the past
But what shines
Even brighter
Are the doors in front
Of me
Showing me my future
Of what lies ahead
