Remember Me
Don’t cry
Don’t speak
Don’t shake and don’t despair
All I ask
is that you remember
Not forever
Not always
But remember for now
The fleeting moments
The bittersweet goodbyes
The warmth in your hands
The twinge in your breath
The sloppy kisses
Please,
Just remember what was said
Remember what it meant
Don’t let the thought linger
But simply let it be born
Pass through
Die
And know it was there
Never doubt
You remembered
Embers
And ashes
Will beg you
To remember
What they mean
But I don’t care about that
Just remember what they meant
That once
Just once
When you smiled
Into my neck
Told me a secret
F***** me up
Do you remember
What ‘I love you’ means?
How to say it?
It doesn’t have to be a lie, you know
Do you remember
How to believe it?
How to mean it?
Can you tell me where it goes
When it’s not true anymore?
Please, for me
Remember the truth
Just for a moment,
Remember
How you love me
Think of me
Kiss me
F*** me up
Remember
Please
Not forever
Not always
But now.
Just now
Remember me
Hold this memory
In your shaking fist
Whisper with your quivering lips
And then please,
Forget me
Please, forget me

You get a lot of comments, so I don't know if it's worth it to speak as sincerely as I feel. But I suppose that's the best thing to do. :)
This poem meant quite a lot to me, because some of the lines were so deep and familiar that I felt like they came out of my heart and not yours! That's partly 'cause you're creating something here which a lot of people can relate to, yet you're not making it dull and common. And it takes a lot of talent to do that.
Remembering for the moment, knowing that forgetfulness will eventually consume who you were, what was. Ha, do you know how powerful that is?
oh my lord.
this made me almost cry.
its so..real.
