Words Recalled
Fresh on my lips, as was the memory
That hit me in the dawn of the day
Lingering in an open space
Yet unnoticed was the page
In which flickered in bright volumes
Of speech and attention
Were those words recalled
Recalled in a manner of expect and believe
In which worlds were laid down for me to carry
No! No! Do not send me a boat for this river
Nor a cable for this mountain
Let me expect consequence of consequences
I shall fall just to land
And may I willing receive a second chance
Please bring me the benefit of the doubt
Of words recalled
