Father is in the garden, smoking a cigar. Nothing makes him happier. Nothing by far.
Mother is in the kitchen, baking up a cake. Controlling how things turn out, while her lifestyle is at stake.
Brother is in the front yard, without a shirt on. He likes to feel the breeze; he likes to taste the sun.
Sister is in the den, painting something new. As the baby of the family, it's all that she can do.
I am sitting here, just sitting on my bed. With thoughts of complex simplicity reeling in my head.
