Make Up Your Mind
You tell me one thing
I obey.
Then you change your mind
And I get in trouble.
I obey you again
Just to get yelled at.
You tell me don't argue
And I never did.
You tell me to say what's bothering me
But when I try
You tell me not to say anything
Or to not talk back.
You tell me that I can go out.
I try to go out
And I get yelled at.
You say I can't go out
Because I can't be trusted.
How am I supposed to gain trust
If I don't get a chance to earn it back?
You tell me to be a kid.
How am I supposed to be a kid
If I can't go out?
You tell me to learn how to respect others.
How about you learn how to make up your mind?
I can't reach your standards
Because you standards keep changing.
