"Have you ever been hurt and the place tries to heal a bit, and you just pull the scar off of it over and over again." - Rosa Parks

Can you see me my dear,
Threatening my life alone?
My sanity has gone missing,
My heart has become so cold.

My core is drained of its essence,
And my eyes have no life,
Every thought that runs through my mind,
Involves hurting myself with a knife.

I watch myself play,
With the shadows of the night,
I hear myself cry,
And know something’s not right.

You hope I fall down,
And never get back up,
And that I’m strong outside,
But my inside’s not so tough.

I’m chained to the table of death,
And rest on the metal so stiffly,
You drain my blood while I breathe,
If you only you could kill me quickly.

In the façade of the world’s mistakes,
I gently take my place,
And pray the sun sets soon,
So I may go out with grace.

I fall into the ground ,
And forever lie there tied up,
Silenced in anxiety,
My mouth will eternally be stitched shut.

I wrote this when I felt like my best friend wanted nothing in the world to do with me. It felt like I was dieing and that he was the one killing me.
