Cycle
Sun gives birth to burrowed seed
Feeding life that eats with greed
She softly lulls them from the ground
Sings with strength but not with sound
She picks them up and builds them high
Arms outstretched to touch the sky
But still below her must they stay
And with the wind her children play
Growing old and drying out
Mother yellow causes drought
Drinking life to quench her thirst
The deed is harsh but not her first
She watches as her baby cries
And wilts until it slowly dies
Again, again the cycle goes
One things gone, another grows
She loves each one more than the last
But on her soul the curse was cast
She may give life and watch it grow
But murders all, and watches slow
