Spiderwebs
A single thread edged out from its underbelly,
Draping over each leaf and flower,
The wind dared to test its power,
Against the fine, thin silk,
The air blew its fire,
Whistling and thundering its presence,
Yet it did not shake,
Its creator kept weaving its magnificent design,
Taking careful steps, its legs pattered and tapped gently across its work,
And the web grew, and the spider endured all obstacles and dangers,
And so as each strand was adorned,
The spider grew stronger and wiser, more sensible, more understanding,
And when the tiny artist was done,
He sighed,
Humming mixed feelings,
He tore the fragile tale apart,
In fear of the unknown.
