" Time for an adventure" - mike macdonald

Is it time?
Have we bottled all we may,
and drained the barrel?
Then stripped it down
and burned its interior?

Can we still see the green?
The pure just body
Does it mourn in our
own imagetive way
to fall to the lush ground?

Can the not so common folk
hear the frightful snap and boom
of the common folks inventions?
and, can they feel the peeling
of their body's when home leaves there eyes?

Is it winter in our minds?
Are all the curtains drawn,
and the doors closed?
When will it be spring?
I want to open a window.

This one's for mother nature. The goal of this poem is to get people to stop writing poetry about themselves and start writing about more important things like mother nature.

I like this. After I read it the second time, I think understood the poem better. It's a beautiful way to describe something horrible, cutting down a tree. It was interesting how you personified the tree. I love the lines "and, can they feel the peeling of of their bodies when home/ leaves their eyes." Very good.
