Remember Me
You kiss my cheek and wave good bye.
I feel the warmth of tears as they spew out of my eyes.
I know it will be only a year until your return..........but to me it is a lifetime.
As the train leaves the station you wave out the window and in a blink of an eye you are gone.
I stand in the dim lights watching the train until it is swallowed by the blackness of the tunnel.
I remember every day I spent with you, how you made every moment count.
I whisper with hurt in my voice.....
"Remember me"
All I am left with is the echo of my own voice,
Growing weak with each step I take as I
Head for the exit of the train station.
