Shattered
I stare at her
She stares back at me
She looks so hurt
So broken
Her eyes are full of tears
I know she's afraid of me
I can feel her fear as if it was
My own skin and bones
She's such a faker
A liar
A hider
A crier
A dier
It makes me so mad
That she thinks she can just
Build all these walls around her
And expect someone
Anyone
To break them down
She can't just run
Or hide
From her life
From her feelings
From her memories
She whimpers
Begging me
Not to make her remember
Her haunting past
Her sickening present
Her dreaded future
She can't face the facts
She's too weak
For a split second
I feel sorry for her
I want to help her
She's still staring at me
She has pleading, sunken eyes
Wrists scarred at her own expense
Pale and sickly skin
Arms so skinny they could snap
Horrible, malicious thoughts
Hair a tangled, careless mess
To hide her face and its
Pained expression
Her faded lips are sealed
She can't speak
I don't even remember her voice
She's everything I promised myself
I never would be
She's a traitor
She betrayed me
With her fragile, little whispers
Swore she would take care of me
Promised to never let me go
She cackles at my desperation
I laugh back at her weakness
We glare at each other for a moment
I feel hatred boiling up inside of me
I hate her
I HATE her
I lunge forward
And hit her
As hard as I can
Smiling
And eager for her hurt expression
I want to hear her scream
I want to see her cry
I want to smell her blood
But as I hit her
She's not the one to bleed
I am
Shards of glass fall on me
They slice my fingers
And cut my face
And that's when i realize
She was my reflection
She mirrored my own
Depression
Pain
Malice
And pathetic-ness
She is really me
And now we both lay
In the remnants of broken glass
Broken dreams
I begin to cry
The mirror, my reflection, and I
Are lifeless and destroyed
We are all broken
Shattered
