"No woman no cry"

She stands wearily in the pouring rain
that bends her shape and damns the light
banishing all hope
slowly slipping through her grasp
still she holds on
with hunger in her belly
and sleep in her eyes
she skips her pride
and crawls through the mud
sable clothing drenched
the dirt runs deeper
staining her skin.
