The Lonely Truth
Something about him makes me smile.
My friends can always tell.
I get this different happiness,
And I get a funny glow.
A cage of butterflies are unleashed in my stomach and I feel like I'm going to faint for only a second.
After I resurface it's too late,
He has already passed and I miss my chance again to talk to him.
I treasure every moment,
Whether he smile at me or strikes up a conversation.
Either way,
My mind goes blank and I don't know what to do.
When he texts me you'll know because I won't stop smiling for hours.
He can always make me laugh,
That's what I like about him.
One day,
He'll see me.
Really see me.
I mean, he sees me everyday.
Physically not mentally.
He'll see that I'm funny and nice,
Cute and sweet,
Forgiving and believing.
You'll see too,
Just wait.
