Foresaken
AS the cool een weens to dusk
And the darkness envolpes the sky
My nostalgia floats away
And evil memories come by
As I lay upon this porch
And look out into the woods
Beauty tries to overtake me
As it really should
But foresaken is my body
And foresaken is my soul
Foresaken is my mind
As it is filled with woe
I want a spirit light as air
And intrinsically beautiful as snow
With peaceful nature like a dove
And silent like a doe
With the tears of an angel
Filled with honesty
Begging, pleading with the lord
To let myself be me
