Pieces Together
Opening his lips wide
Grinning like the Joker himself.
Never letting it slide from its place,
Only stripping it away with me.
Small cracks are now visible
In our porcelain masks
Her nails and venom laced words
Digging at what little protection we have.
Making us bleed faster than before
Until our blood can run no more
Never once did he catch
Those catching tears
When I fall victim
To this deadly disease he’s there to cure me.
Wanting to take all the blows
And leave me in one piece
Now it’s my turn
To put him back together
And I have just the right amount of super strength glue to do it.
