"If you don't leap you'lll never know what it's like to fly"

Remember the days
When we were still young
And you picked us up in your arms
And rocked us back and forth
Shushing us and singing
Until we fell asleep?

Remember the days
When we began to grow
And we gave you a hug
Telling you we'd miss you
As you loosened your grip, letting us be on our way
As we toggled off into our Kindergarten Classroom?

Remember the days
When they began to fly by
And you wondered where the time had gone
And held us tight, never wanting to let go
And we'd tell you we'd be okay
As we kissed you on the forehead?

Remember the days as if they were just yesterday?
Taking our first steps
Kindergarten
Learning how to ride a bike
Elementary school
Making friends
Sleepovers
Doing Sports
Middle School
Riding the bus?

And now look at me mom
Look at who I have become

High school
Driving
Becoming a young adult

And now that I look back
I know
That I would have never
Been able to come this far
Without having someone as special
And amazing as you!

"Just when the caterpillar thought it was going to die, it turned into a butterfly."

This gave me goosebumps and made me want to cry! I can't imagine what your mom did when she read this. :)
