Fading
Imprinted on my skin is the image of fear
Imprinted in my brain is the image of you
Longingly in my thoughts I disappear
From the rushing sorrow bleeding through
I hop across the stones, oh what a marvelous game!
Only the river's cool blue is the burning sensation of life
Oh the stones protect me from the flames!
But still it is you, who gives up your life
Why do I seem like a tower above all
Exuding the most incredible confidence and audacity
But I am belittled against your shadow that I fall
And quietly fade, deep into the shadows so passively
