I'm Sorry
I wanted to tell you
that I was sorry.
I'm sorry for every stupid question,
every mess I ever made,
every time I wet the bed,
every time I didn't listen,
every time I lied to you.
I'm sorry for all the bad grades,
all the arguments,
all the things I didn't understand,
all the dinners I didn't finish,
all the times I choose my friends over you.
I'm sorry that I couldn't be
exactly what you wanted me to be.
I'm sorry that I couldn't do
exactly what you wanted me to do.
I'm sorry that I was an inconvenience
right from birth.
But most of all, I'm sorry that I will
never be perfect.
