Worried Sick
Worries consume my thoughts.
I try to assume what is the best,
but my mind will always
jump to the worst.
My belly wells with worry,
I just might burst.
I feel I'm in a play
simply to rehearse, when really
my body's insides twist and turn
tug and pull taught
in hopes to keep out
my own thoughts.
I have fought,
but still must fight the battle
against what is already mine,
the mind.
My mind.
