The House of Lies

Left and broken the young dies
In the house that's full of lies.
As black hearts sing a mournful song
And spin a tale that is much too long.
Wandering souls cry out for hatred
In the place that was once sacred.
Death breathes on those who dream
And then it brings them there to scream.
The house of lies rests away,
From the pure light of a new day.
Lost from time and lost from life,
But full of hate and full of strife.
The house of lies is far and near,
The house of lies is here.

This is wonderful! :D After stumbling upon your drawing 'The Shadow', I had to go through the rest of your work and the title 'House of Lies' stood out to me. :) I love dark poetry, and this piece is just amazing. It expresses such a lot of thought, despite the fact that it's short. I got such vivid images from reading it, and it's sort of inspired me. My absolute favorite line is, "Death breaths on those who dream And then it brings them here to scream." Great work!!
