When I get older I will dance
On Mars, and I will sing with
The silent jazz band. And
When I get older, I'll turn
Into a lion and swim
The seas with my luggage
Tied to my tired back. And
When I get older I will chop
Off my favored food, and
Forget to find a way to fill
My cluttered, empty brain.
And when I get older, I
Will swim in a pool of
Evening sunlight, and eat
An ice-cold bowl of chicken
Noodle soup. And when I get
Older, I will roam the
Ruins of Roslyn, and whisper
“Good Morning” to all of the
Nobody I meet. And when
I get older, I will fight
Off my foes with French
Fries after I bid them
Farewell. And when I get older,
I will try on a new memory,
But they will be out of my
Size. And when I get older,
I will listen to the many voices
That are screaming after
The sudden storm. And
When I get older, I will
Clean up the deserted
Room at the party in
December. And when
I get older, I will
Go to the post office
To buy a bunch of
Beakers. And when I get
Older, I will look in the
Mirror, and listen to
What the orange eyes are
Requesting of me. And
When I get older, I
Will be getting younger,
And I will be laughing at them
