the quiet breeze blowing in through open windows, open doors
Beatles tunes for the last concert bubbling out of me like happiness might
if it were audible
Mournful goodbyeanddoIhaveyournumbers,
expectant I’llseeyounextyears,
wishing over your shoulder that you’ll see them again
as you leave them behind.
You never know,
it might be the last time.
