Clenched Soul
My soul constricted – dark tunnel, no light, no air
Stuck in your grasp with no way out.
You inside and me out, in the bitter cold
Our love has ended, but wasn’t even a day old.
My body limp, standing there getting drenched by the rain
There was nothing left to feel, just pain.
My soul is gone, you are the only one standing strong.
It is now dawn, the rain gets heavier and the wind stronger.
My hair getting blown behind my face
I just continue to stand there looking like a disgrace.
You know that necklace you wear so close to your heart?
My soul is gone and I don’t even know where to start.
My soul is lost and so am I,
I’m like a fly stuck between a window and the screen.
You know that feeling you get when you lose something sentimental?
Well, that is how I feel, like a piece of luggage lost on Continental.
