A Letter to Heaven
My mama told me
the other day,
when we were little
the games we’d play.
She reminded me
Of all the late nights
All the tears
and all the fights.
She remembers your laugh
And your smile
I have the photographs
Of us all that while.
So when I reach Heaven
Where you are today
I want to make sure
I can truly say,
“Underneath an umbrella,
in the storm we’ll stand.
Best friends forever,
hand in hand.”
