The War
At war we stand
Back to back
Both sides dark
With a soul of black
Standing idle in position
We await the first attack
Never looking to them
But with the eyes on our back
Eyes lock like parrying swords
Creating sparks
To feed the fire
Of our little war
Rising like a white flag
Rain begins to fall
Another begins to strike?
With the shield of Diplomacy
Sundering the swords
In the midst
Both sides stand
Shouting there words
Bleeding out there egos
To someone who doesn’t care
The shield the neutral side
Capitulates out of exhaustion
Of this youth like war
