Gone.
My lips were tingling
Like when we'd kiss for a while
And it felt great to be that way
So I turned to kiss your lips
But you were gone.
My neck was creaking
And I remember all those times
Back from work late at night
I'd tell you my day was a wreck
You'd massage me with no complaint
So I turned faced down on the bed
And waited for you to begin
But you were gone.
My heart is aching
And so I think of the days we had
And the walks that we made
And reminisce on the talks that made my day
And so I went to give you my love
But you were gone.
But know that my love still remains
Just like the first day we held hands
And the day in the sand
Until that last day that I regret
Now that your gone.
