&quot; Writing makes a map, and there is something about a journey that begs to have its passage marked.&quot; <br /> Christina Baldwin

I can't seem to step out,
What will they say?
I wish the World would see me for the real me,
Not just that quiet girl.
But I don't think I can,
I’m stuck in the closet.

The stares and fingers,
I can feel it awaiting me.
Like a thief waiting for the moment to jump on their prey.
I want to come out to see what it is like,
But I’m stuck in the closet.

It’s hard to relate,
The laughter and jokes.
To everyday life.
The comments and words are like rocks beating against my heart.
I cannot take it.
But I need to come out of the closet.

This is not personally about me, I feel like bullies and jokes are keeping teens secluded and hiding "in the closet".
