Busy Time
Everyone is busy
They all have places to see and things to do
Everyone is seemingly too busy for you
You make time
A friend in need gets an hour
You lose an hour for yourself
But it’s not about you
It’s about a bigger picture
And your feelings cease to matter
In the rumble and the clatter
They all make with their fists thumping
Their shoes stomping
Tempers rise and tantrums popping
Up, here and there,
Random spurts of steaming air
And the flow of voices rises above your words
You become inaudible among the masses
And yet you would stop time for them
For a friend in need
But when you are the one with needs
You are left out in the cold, indeed.
