Surrounded Yet Alone

What would it feel like to see
people all around but none just like me
knowing almost everyone
and yet no one at all
that is what it feels like to truly be alone.
Waiting so silently for someone to care
just to find that someone isn't there
trying to enjoy life with no one else at all
that is what it feels like to truly be alone
Living life through someone else
that will be my fate
if I do not stop this
soon it will be too late
and my only choice will be to truly be alone.
