Crystal Clear
It is crystal clear to me that you are something special.
The way you understand is something that can never be taught.
Never taught.
And that is why it is crystal clear.
The curve of your knees, contracted muscles, gleaming under the bright fluorescent lights.
The perfectly straight line from the tips of your tiny fingers to the bottoms of your pointed toes, barely bigger than a baby’s.
The definition of your body, so rare for a child in elementary school, that comes with training hours a day.
This cannot be bought.
Never bought.
And that is why it is crystal clear.
The way your legs effortlessly fly into beautiful shapes.
Your ability to master tricks in mere hours that take others years
And the determination that you work with.
Never stopping to question.
The drive in your tiny head
No room for fear, only excitement.
A truly unlimited capacity to learn.
Only a precious few are graced with this mentality.
Only a precious few.
And that is why it is crystal clear.
While others may overlook you, concealed in your tiny, graceful body, and the gift hidden inside, not me.
Not me.
Your talent cannot hide from me.
To me it is crystal clear.
