The Judge
who are you to judge me
that’s all I want to ask
I sit silently as your criticism
washes over me
it seeps in deep and makes me ask
makes me wonder
and think
do you know me
I mean truly know me
my favorite color, can you tell me that
my favorite song, food, book
why do I cry
why do I smile
why do I lie
please do you know these facts
can you tell me what to wear
can you tell me how to talk
can you tell what you want me to be
it might make it easier
if I do everything you want
will you still judge me
do you know me
I mean truly know me
can you tell me who I am
can you tell me who I want to be
because I cant
why am I writing this
who do I want to hear it
who am I
I don’t know who I am
I don’t know what I want
I don’t know where i’m going
all I know is as long as i’m in the dark
and you cant tell me what you really want
who are you to judge me
when I haven’t even decided
on who there is to judge
