The Journey
It
sways and dances to the whisper of the wind,
With a gentle push it breaks free, falling, fluttering through the air.
Twisting and turning, waxing and waning, it floats upon my head,
Solitary.
doesn’t
it have veins that life must be coursing through,
The will to live, the energy to push on?
Even though this piece of life is no longer connected to the main,
It sits alone.
end
of the life it knew, a new beginning awaits.
Picked up by a rolling wind it travels,
To a mountain, through a tunnel, over a chasm,
Near a stream it lands.
here
it will stay, only temporarily.
There, is what will become.
The leaf can go
Anywhere.
