A ride in the snow
Up the chairlift I go,
Loving the feeling of snow,
Reaching the top and getting off with ease,
Snowboarding always seems to please,
Zipping down the hill flying past others,
Slipping and in the snow my face smothers,
Completely unaware my face hits the snow,
Struggling to stand I need to get up and go,
Getting up with my cheeks the color of a rose,
The ski patrol man sees me and slows,
Once on my feet I ride away,
To show the patroller I’m ok,
Seeing a box I begin to smile,
This is a trick I haven’t done in a while,
Riding onto the ramp feeling so slick,
Realizing I am great at this trick,
Jumping off the box onto the snow,
A huge gust of wind makes me slow,
I’m reaching the bottom of the hill,
The wind hitting my face gives me a chill,
Looking at my watch I realize I must go,
But I will soon be back to ride in the snow
