LA DE FREAKIN DA
I've been broken, battered, beaten down. Teasing and taunting weren't left out. I just sat there looking down. But times have changed and so have I. Calling me names won’t affect me. Laugh and lies will float right past me. My reaction will be a mask of nothingness. No more tear-stained eyes. No more silenced screams. No more hiding. No more lying. No longer am I acting the charade you’ve designed for me. Shut your mouth or flies will nest. Shoo fly don’t bother me. Nights of sorrow are behind me. You can’t change my mind. I won’t let you. LA DE FREAKIN’ DA. I am me. Finally!
