Just Another Dead " I Love You"

How was I supposed to know
you did not really mean it.
How would I know
you were just another
sack of lies.
You thought this was a
game you played my heart.
Well thanks for nothing
the words were said too often
so it cut even deeper
now I see
they were used to sugar coat things you could say.
Nothing real about them
just another dead I love you
to write in my book
titled Alone and Stupid.
I fell for it again
I just can't believe it.
Just another
dead I love you...
nothing special.

I love this! Great Job. And I know I say that alot! Now I have to ask!! Have you ever thought of maybe writing a poetry book?? You are just so good! I think not only people on this site but people all over should have the chance to read your work! I believe your writings help anyone who reads your work!!:) I have written and gotten poems published in books before and it is amazing how people change once they read what someone writes!

I would have been 8 then. I wasn't really worried about being poetic back then, I just wanted to write.

It was one of my first poems...I may build another one off of this one, but I will not change it... I think I wrote it in '06

I like the idea of a "Dead "I love you""...overall, the poem was deep with emotion. poetically, however, I think it could have improved with better word choice and poem qualities. The emotion is already there and strong, but you can strengthen it with stronger words! Good job and keep writing!

My favorite line in this is "to write in my book/titles Alone and Stupid." The flow is a bit choppy but the emotions feel really raw. Oh gosh. I feel like an english teacher. bleh. well, Good job!

I love the emotion, you really display it well! it reallt gets the attention of the reader, and makes them feel it too.
