my town
My town is like a preschool of five year olds with no place to go.
They all stay in the same place until the cops come.
The cops tell them they’re loitering, and need to leave.
Most of the time they’re all complaining about something.
They remind me of a 5 year old with no place to go.
My town is like a bathroom that hasn’t been cleaned in months.
They litter everywhere and don’t bother to pick it up.
Every corner you turn there is a cigarette butt.
They live in this dump.
It’s like a bathroom that hasn’t been cleaned in months.
My town is like a soap opera.
They all know about you.
They all know what’s going on and who’s dating who.
You can’t trust them.
They say you can but you really can’t.
They’re all fakes.
It’s like a soap opera.
My town is like a constant house party.
All they do is drink.
All they do is smoke.
Why doesn’t anyone do anything,
About this constant house party?
My town is like a preschool
They talk,
They loiter,
They litter,
They drink.
But in the end, it’s my town.
And there is no escape.
