The sun doesn't always shine,
A lightbulb eventually goes out,
After a while a candle's flame will cease to flicker,
Then all is dark,

Some people choose to allow darkness to depress them,
But darkness is merely the absence of light,

The absence of sunshine to enlighten us,
The absence of the lightbulb's light to let us see,
The absence of the candle's flame to guide us,

The way all people rely on light,
Is the same way I rely on you,
I rely on you to enlighten me,
I rely on you to let me see,
I rely on you to guide me,
Especially through my darkest times,

Be my sunshine,
Be my lightbulb's light,
Be my candle's flame.
