The Thank You Note
Thank you so much
For being my friend
And the times you made me beautiful
My smile could never end
I'm much obliged
To you
For saving me and being someone
I could run to
These times have been hard
and you'll never know
But hearing your voice gave me strength to go on
Thank you for
My favorite memory
Cherished in my heart for all my days to be
You called me aside
And pulled me to you
Buried my face in your chest
Wrapped my arms 'round your back
When we finally parted
(after ages it seemed)
I wondered 'why?'
Why in the middle of the room
in the middle of the crowd?
You replied at once so sweet and smooth
It's a hug- because I love you
That was your way
And this is mine
How I'll sign off:
I Love You,
Your friend

This is really cute, and not in a doesn't-mean-a-thing sort of a way, as I sometimes feel about the word 'cute'. It's a good word when used to describe this poem :)
Your poem really describes how I feel about most of the friends I've lost, thank you for that :)
I found this to be touching, without much trace of being sentimental. I like it!
Isn't it a good feeling to belong with someone?
