Reflection of an Eye
I look in an eye and what do I see
The reflection of my own
Staring straight back at me
Dipping in my very soul
Wallowing in feelings of joy and care
Equal to their own
And for those wise enough everywhere
If only the world would feel this way
To put evil asunder
Or keep it at bay
But the world has eyes not like ours
Deep and overfilled with concern
Their own are filled with nothing but hate
Now listen to what we yearn
For all eyes in the world
To be filled with love and care
For all my life I shall hope, pray, and beg for this
To be gifted to everyone any and everywhere
