Anonymously Yours
I guess it was the mystery.
Or maybe is was the venture
Into the great unknown.
What kept the fire blazing?
It surely couldn't have been
The way you never looked into my eyes.
Or the way the one time you did,
You call them creepy.
I guess the blue overwhelmed you.
It couldn't have been your hockey skills.
The Lord knows that skill, you lacked.
I'm positive it wasn't the look in
Your eyes when I attempted to talk.
Soft at first, warm and tender even,
The stone cold as if realizing you were
Talking to a monster. I am not.
Oh, and it definitely wasn't your
Infatuation with her, the innocent
Serpent, covering her slithering tracks.
It most certainly wasn't your first
Time drinking, kissing her her in the
Heat passion of the moment.
And your awkward dance skills as
You clutched her thy, hoping for a
Spark to appear magically?
I laughed in your face.
The dominant look in your eyes as you
Took me in, silently judging,
My male-repulsing presence.
Nope, it wasn't any one of those things.
It was all of them.
