For the Both of Us
When we first met I was unhappy
So you smiled
For the both of us
My feet felt heavy
So you lifted me up
And walked
For the both of us
I was shy at first
So you laughed
For the both of us
I was quiet
So you sang
For the both of us
When we saw each other
You would hug
For the both of us
My world was dark before you came
So you led the way
For the both of us
It started raining and I wouldn’t go out
So you got wet
For the both of us
I couldn’t speak
So you talked
For the both of us
I had a bad day
So you turned my frown right side up
For the both of us
I got scared
So you were brave
For the both of us
I got picked on
So you stood up
For the both of us
I cried
So you wiped away my tears
For the both of us
But you couldn’t dance
So I danced
For the both of us
I loved you
So I kissed
For the both of us
I came out of my shell
And shone
For the both of us
Then you broke my heart
And said it was better
For the both of us
I was devastated
So I bawled
For the both of us
