Once upon a time
Two souls met and bonded
Common pain and common passion
Once upon a time.
Now one soul has lost it
but pretends it still.
Thinks a black rose is rarer than red
But it’s not.
It’s just plastic.
One soul lost
and one left behind
to bear the pain and passion
of two.
One soul lost, one left behind
Once upon a time –
Fairy tales are not enough.
And she will turn away from me now?
Does she forget
where her loyalties lay
Once upon a time?
Does she forget
who she was
how we were
Once upon a time?
Once upon a time…
Now fairy tales are not enough.
