Burning Winter
Your touch, sets the forest of my body on fire
Mine, colder than ice
Set atop the funeral pyre
Feeling the warmth of another's so nice
She stands in the brightest of lights
Reveling, basking in the great sun
You can't see I'm the monster who fights
Inside, with deep brooding temptation
Grasping tightly to two hopes
With two different paths
Through darkness mine own, elopes
If only she knew the dead end hers has
Contempt and self pleasure lies behind
blue walls of eyes so deceiving
Slipping in and out covering up the crime
so I keep on believing
Red hot burns the dying embers
of every fire, none are eternal in my midnight
burning, the cold icy touch of winter
into the narrowing twilight
