Can anyone see me down here?
I'm slowly suffocating.
The darkness is swallowing me up
Into the deep dark pits of hell.

I'm falling, falling
Into nothingness.
A fate worse than death.
Can no one save me?

The author's comments:
Literally, it can be interpreted to be about being trapped in somewhere deep underground . However, metaphorically it suggests someone being trapped in a situation they can't get out of, and are being pulled in deeper and deeper against their will.
