They bring us into the world
Always putting us first

Their bellies grow vast
like a plump full moon

inside we grow
our tiny feet and hands,
bumping, kicking, pounding
against the wall of our Sanctuary

The voice we learn to trust,
love, and listen to
even if it takes a while

Their hands hold us before
we can even feel them

These mothers are our Sacred Vessels
guiding us safely
into the beauty of the world
