First Love
If I could,
I would distinguish the romance between us,
how I felt about you,
how you felt about me,
the connection we had that was beyond just friends.
I would smell the sweet scent of your fragrance,
caress your full face,
reminisce about every soft word that left your luscious lips,
gaze into your enticing eyes for hours without a word uttered,
approach life with you by my side
through the uplifting moments
and the harsh times.
Just a second with you would
be a momentous second, one fortunately spent.
Without you life is only half enjoyable,
knowing a piece of me isn't there.
