Douglas Q.
Coming to the cemetery wasn’t easy,
But when the sun rose
I remembered his smile, and that’s when
I knew he was finally free.
Sometimes being free is being free from
This world but this does not
Mean I don’t miss him.
Sometimes being free is leaving the
One’s he loved the most.
The countless smiles, the years of laughter,
The tears of joy, and yes the love, all of this
I miss dearly everyday.
Sometimes being free is receiving a comfort that will
Be everlasting because when I saw the pain he endured here
Then I understood that to be truly free of the pain, he had to leave here
And enter into a new place where peace could be truly found
With comfort everlasting and freedom too.
No more pain or suffering, and an all new him that awaited in the
Place free of pain.
The smiles and memories he left will last forever.
He will be free of pain which makes him being gone easier to cope
