Is this Love?
Until I actually met you,
I never realized how hard life could be.
I never gave it much thought-the bad things, I mean.
Or I just never thought that this could happen to me.
So naive, I was.
I had my sights set on a perfect life,
but it didn't take long for my vision to blur.
Until now, I never imagined that life
could be so cruel.
But now if I shoot at reality,
I can hit the target.
Because now, I'm aware of hardships,
for you have taught me everything I know.
So thank you,
for making me smarter,
for making me stronger,
and for showing me reality.
I'll never forget it.
I promise you.
And if I shall become old and grey
and forget what you've made me,
then maybe, just maybe,
I could stand to see your face again.
And so, my love,
I beg you to forget me.
Although I'm sure you already have.
