Are You Okay?
Are you okay?
I hear this everyday,
and I reply,
yea I'm fine.
Then they will move on.
But I'm not okay,
if it looks like I'm crying,
I probably am,
or if I look sad,
I might be,
you never know.
As I sit here,
in utter silence,
enduring my personal hell,
I wonder,
will anyone ever see past my fake smile?
Will they ever,
know that I'm lying?
Probably not,
but I look forward to the day,
the day that someone asks me,
are you okay,
and I lie,
for them to wrap their arms around me,
and whisper in my ear,
I know your not.
